Cellulose insulation

Cellulose insulation provides an overall increase in energy efficiency when compared to traditional blown-in fiberglass. A mixture of recycled newspaper and non-toxic fire retardants, cellulose insulation boasts an 85% recycled content rating. Cellulose requires 8 times less energy to produce than fiberglass, is a superb sound insulator, and contains no airborne particles that could harm you or your loved ones. All of these facts combined make cellulose one of the most eco and family friendly insulation materials used today.

Finger jointed framing studs

Finger joints are greener than regular framing studs because finger joints are exclusively made up of waste lumber that would have been discarded generally. Finger joints are stronger and often straighter than normal framing studs.

Low-E Double Pane windows and doors

Ever wonder what the "E" is in "Low-E"? It stands for Emissivity: the relative power of a surface to emit heat by radiation. This is extremely necessary, especially in Houston. The low-e glass bounces the heat off the glass when it is hot outside, and keeps it away from the glass (and inside your room) when it is cold outside. As you can imagine, this greatly increases your heating and cooling efficiency.

Digitally programmable thermostats

Programmable thermostats allow you to set temperatures throughout the days, nights, and weekends. It can turn the temperature up while you are at work, and begin to cool it down so that it will be comfortable when you come home.

Rinnai Tankless water heaters

Tankless water heaters use less water because it reduces the time needed to "warm up" your water for showers, laundry, or dishes. These water heaters do not continually heat your water like conventional water heaters do. They only use energy to heat the water when the water is being used. The Rinnai water heaters also produce very low NOx and CO2 emissions, which contributes further to your healthy home!

TechShield Radiant Barrier

A radiant barrier minimizes radiant heat gain in summer and radiant heat loss in winter. LP Techshield blocks up to 97% of the radiant heat in the panel from entering your attic, which keeps your home cooler. This means less work for your air conditioner and more energy savings for you!
